All safari bookings are processed strictly according to the rules and regulations of the Forest Department of Kaziranga National Park. Safari zone allocation, vehicle assignment, drivers, and guides are controlled entirely by the forest authorities, and we cannot influence the booking process.
Kaziranga National Park is divided into four ecotourism zones, each offering unique landscapes and excellent opportunities to spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, wild elephants, swamp deer, wild buffalo, and numerous bird species.
Safari Zones in Kaziranga National Park
Central Zone (Kohora)
The Central Zone is the most popular safari area in Kaziranga and serves as the park’s tourism hub. Both Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari operate from this zone.

Fair Safari Allocation
Safari bookings are managed through the official computerized booking system operated by the Forest Department.
Please note:
- Safari permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Zone allocation depends entirely on availability.
- Every safari zone has healthy populations of wildlife.
- Tigers, one-horned rhinos, elephants, wild buffaloes, and deer are found throughout the park.
- No safari zone, vehicle, driver, or guide can be guaranteed in advance.
Important Information for Kaziranga Safari Booking
Please read the following guidelines before making your booking:
- Safari permits are issued subject to availability.
- Once a safari permit is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- If your booking cannot be confirmed due to technical issues or non-availability, the full amount will be refunded.
- Visitors booked for Elephant Safari must report at the boarding point well before the scheduled departure time.
- Complimentary pickup is generally available for guests staying within approximately 5 km of the safari entry gate.
- Safari charges include:
- Entry permit
- Jeep or Elephant charges
- Driver or Mahout fees
- Applicable taxes
- Service charges
No additional payment is required during the safari.
Documents Required for Kaziranga Safari Booking
To reserve your safari, kindly provide:
- Full name of every visitor (exactly as printed on the ID proof)
- Age and gender of each visitor
- Preferred safari date
- Preferred safari shift (Morning or Afternoon for Jeep Safari)
- Valid Government-issued photo ID number
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID
- Driving Licence
- Passport (for foreign nationals)
- Advance payment for safari booking
Important: Please carry the same original identity document used during booking while entering the park.
Foreign nationals must provide passport details at the time of reservation.
Kaziranga Safari Rules & Guidelines
Visitors are requested to follow all wildlife and forest regulations during their visit.
- Entry permits are mandatory for all visitors.
- Safari bookings are governed by the Forest Department.
- Jeep Safari operates in Morning and Afternoon shifts.
- Elephant Safari operates only during the morning in limited shifts.
- Entry permits cannot be cancelled, transferred, or modified after confirmation.
- Only authorized forest guides are permitted during safari.
- Visitors are not allowed to enter the park after sunset.
- Getting down from the safari vehicle inside the park is strictly prohibited.
- Carrying pets inside the National Park is not permitted.
- Please respect wildlife and maintain silence during the safari.
- Follow all instructions issued by the forest officials and safari guides.
- We act solely as a safari booking facilitator and are not responsible for delays, weather conditions, wildlife sightings, accidents, theft, injuries, or any unforeseen circumstances during the safari.
Entry Formalities
Kaziranga National Park is a protected Tiger Reserve managed under the Wildlife Protection Act. Entry is allowed only after obtaining a valid permit issued by the Forest Department.

Both safaris operate on fixed timings and are conducted only in designated tourism zones.
