Jhalana Safari Booking Information
The booking process for Jhalana Leopard Safari is managed entirely by the Rajasthan Forest Department. All safari permits are issued according to the official booking policy, and reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
Jhalana Leopard Reserve is divided into two safari zones (routes), and safari vehicles are allocated by the Forest Department through a computerized random allocation system. Visitors cannot choose a specific safari zone, vehicle, or driver, ensuring a fair distribution of safari vehicles across both zones.
Currently, 10 open Gypsy (6-seater) safari vehicles are permitted to enter the reserve during each safari shift. The reserve operates two regular safari shifts daily:
- Morning Safari
- Evening Safari
Visitors can also choose Half-Day Safari and Full-Day Safari options, subject to availability and Forest Department regulations.
Jhalana Safari Booking Policy
- All safari bookings require 100% advance payment.
- Safari permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Safari vehicles and guides are assigned only on the day of the safari through the Forest Department’s computerized system.
- Once confirmed, safari permits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be modified.
Important Guidelines for Jhalana Safari Booking
Please keep the following points in mind before booking your safari:
- Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Every visitor must provide a valid government-issued photo ID.
- Foreign nationals must provide passport details while making the reservation.
- The original ID or passport used during booking must be carried on the day of the safari for verification.
- Safari permits cannot be cancelled, transferred, or exchanged after confirmation.
- Safari bookings can be made up to 90 days in advance.
- Entry permits are issued subject to availability and official Forest Department regulations.
- The Forest Department reserves the right to close the park or modify safari operations without prior notice due to weather conditions, wildlife management, or administrative reasons.
- If safari fees are revised by the Forest Department after booking, visitors may be required to pay the applicable difference before entering the reserve.
- Visitors should report at the designated boarding point at least 25 minutes before the scheduled safari departure.

Jhalana Safari Timings
The safari timings vary throughout the year according to sunrise and sunset.
- Morning Safari: Begins approximately 30 minutes after sunrise.
- Evening Safari: Ends approximately 30 minutes before sunset.
- Night Safari (if operational): Starts approximately one hour after sunset, as per Forest Department guidelines.
Each regular safari lasts approximately 2½ hours, providing ample time to explore the reserve and observe its rich wildlife.
