Weather

Climate of India varies from the arid deserts of Rajasthan to the cool highlands of Northe-East- famous for rains around the year. But basically India has a three-season year - the hot, the wet and the cool. The heat starts to build up on the northern plains around February and by April it becomes quite hot.

The first signs of the monsoon appear in end of May, with high humidity, short rainstorms and violent thunder storms. The monsoon comes around June in the extreme south and move north to cover the whole country by early July.

From December till begining of Feburary is the coldest months for Ranthambore National Park, with the temperature dipping down to 2 Degree Celsius. Since the safaris are conducted by open jeeps, we advise layering your warm clothing to maximize your comfort in the cold weather. The beauty is that it allows you to make quick adjustments based on your activity level and changes in the weather.
